Behind Budare's is Helen. She arrived in Spain a few years ago with her family and, in January 2026, opened the doors of this small place to bring a little piece of her country to Algeciras.
"We arrived like any migrant — full of hope, and determined to build a future."
Back in Venezuela her life revolved around commerce and pastry-making, but cooking was always her passion. That same passion goes into every arepa, every cachapa and every custom cake today. Budare's has become a meeting point for the Venezuelan and Latin community of Algeciras — and for anyone curious to discover a different flavour.
